Why it’s on my radar

Things to verify before I’d fully recommend it
- Trigger mechanism durability — spring/button mechanisms are the most common failure point on this style of wallet over months of daily use.
- 9-card practical limit — Ekster’s own recommendation is 9 cards despite the 14-card spec; worth confirming how it actually carries at your real day-to-day card count.
- Aluminum shell pocket feel — rigid-shell wallets sit differently in a pocket than a traditional bifold; comfort is personal.
- Tracker card battery life and Find My integration reliability in daily use, if you add one.
- Leather wear pattern over time, especially on the Vachetta leather variant which is designed to patina.
Verdict: Pending. The feature set (RFID protection, tracker compatibility, lifetime warranty) makes it a low-risk try, but I’m holding off on a rating until it’s had real daily-carry time. I’ll update this entry with durability and comfort notes after using it.
